Connection
Time
Why?
- We don't
just want to have a group of strangers who sit together on Sundays
and call that "church".
- We want people
to connect with each other and find people to walk together through
life with.
- People
connect best when they have a chance to be together regularly
in different settings/activities. That is why people often connect
with someone better after hanging out with them on a one weekend
retreat, then after talking with that person over months of "greeting
times" in a Sunday service.
- Since people
are busy, we wanted to create a time where this could at least
happen once a week on Sundays.
- The ideal
would be that these connection times become the soil from which
lasting friendships would grow and people would meet together
with friends during the week.
We believe
in the importance of people connecting with each other. Because
of this, we have committed a half-hour time slot, every week in
our Sunday gathering, to give people the chance to do this.
How It Works
We meet for Connection Time from the 10:00am-10:30am part
of our gathering time. People will are encouraged to just have
fun and meet people.
Each person
can decide what they want to do for fun. They might choose to: play
board games, party games, video games or whatever!
